I am from Shiga prefecture where is next to Kyoto. I was kind of a member of the art club in my university days and led a life which had nothing to do with outdoor activities. However, I got hooked on backpacking during my sophomore year of university and this has literally changed my life.
Seeking further stimulation, I took a year off from university to go to the United States by myself in spite of the opposition of people around me, and I cycled about 9000 kilometers from Alaska to Los Angeles.
I have traveled to 17 countries, including North America, South America, and Nepal, where I have gained experiences of trekking and mountaineering.
In addition, I have learned some English during the trip and am working as an English teacher as well.
At the foot of Mt.Fuji, I have been living a mountainous life, from rock climbing to winter mountaineering and ice climbing.
What’s more, I am a hunter and belong to a local hunting organization.
I want to convey the grandeur and beauty of nature to as many people as possible.
